In early June, the 56th quadruplex extruding production line manufactured by Guilin Rubber Industry R&D Institute Co., Ltd. was sent to customer site overseas as scheduled.

The high-end multi-composite extruder independently researched and developed by Guilin Rubber Institute is the key equipment for the production of high-performance radial tire semi-products. It can compositely extrude up to seven different rubber compounds at the same time, which can effectively improve the quality stability, production efficiency and utilization ratio of tire products. The screw adaptation technology applied realizes the high-efficient and low-consumptive production of different rubber compound formulations, and the quick-change system of die lips greatly reduces the downtime required to change product specifications.

This equipment breaks the technological monopoly by developed countries, fills up domestic technological vacancies, provides a better choice for domestic and foreign tire enterprises to improve quality and efficiency, and has obtained a number of national patents for invention. Among them, quintuplex rubber extruder group is even recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China as the first set of major technical equipment in China. As of May 2020, the quadruplex and quintuplex extruders of Guilin Rubber Institute have been exported to the United States, Mexico, Italy, Romania, Turkey, Brazil, Thailand and other countries and regions, with a cumulative order of nearly 70 sets.
