On January 10, 2019 State Science and Technology Awarding Meeting was solemnly held in Beijing.
“Key Technology and Engineering Application of Special High-performance Rubber Composite Materials” project jointly organized by Boton Tech and Beijing University of Chemical Technology and participated by China Chemical Guilin Engineering Co., Ltd. (CGEC) won the second prize of National Science and Technology Award, which is the first national-level award won by the conveyor belt industry so far.
China’s output of rubber conveyor belt ranks first in the world, however, the high-end conveyor belt preparation technology, special functional rubber and high-performance composite material with special properties such as long service life, resistance to high temperature, high resistance to tearing and high inflaming retarding required for conveyance of bulk industrial materials under severe working conditions have a large gap with the technologies of the peers overseas. In 2006, Boton Tech carried out cooperation with Beijing University of Chemical Technology, CGEC and other units, after ten years of tackling, they deeply integrated “Industry-college-institute Cooperation” with innovation mode to break through the continuous fiber/rubber composite material for long-life special large-scale conveyor belt and key manufacturing technology to realize making high-end conveyor belt products in China and successfully develop a series of special high-end conveyor belt products with the properties such as long service life, resistance to high temperature, high resistance to tearing and high inflaming retarding by structural design of composite material, preparation of special rubber materials, innovation and engineering application of manufacturing equipment and compound technology of conveyor belt products, thus greatly improving the property and service life of the products, developing independent intellectual property rights, breaking the monopoly, realizing export of high-end products and running parallel with international brands and taking the lead with relevant technologies.
The research achievements of this project are widely applied to major economic fields such as mineral mining, iron and steel smelting, building materials and cement, port and pier, and thermal power generation at present, which provides vigorous support for safe and stable conveyance of various industrial bulk materials in complex and harsh environment, efficiently lowers the product replacement and maintenance frequency and energy consumption for material conveyance and has obvious economic and social benefits. The achievements of this project once have won 2 first prizes and 2 second prizes of provincial and ministerial progress in science and technology; obtained 54 authorized patents, including 44 patents for invention, and 2 software copyright; through this project, a high-level professional technical team is cultivated to strongly promote technological progress of bulk industrial material conveyance industry.
Winning of this national-level award fully affirms the scientific and technological innovation ability of Boton Tech, and also indicates that the R&D and production ability of high-end conveyor belt products of the company reaches a new high. In the future, the company will center on “high-end and international” development strategy and reinforce technological innovation to provide more safe and reliable, energy-saving and efficiency as well as green and eco-friendly products and services for modern bulk industrial material conveyance industry. Meanwhile, the company will integrate new technolo-gies such as 5G, industrial Internet, industrial big data, driverless technology and artificial intelligent to improve the existing technologies, build digital ecosphere for bulk industrial material conveyance, realize full-stack contracting service of bulk industrial material intelligent conveyance and promote smart-based and intelligent development and progress of the industries such as mineral, steel, building materials and port.
