On December 27, 2019, National Natural Science Foundation of China organized to hold 2019 Summing-up Meeting of Significant Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China “Basic Research on Design and Manufacturing of Advanced Composite Material and Structure of Radial Tire for Giant Aircraft” in Beijing University of Chemical Technology. The panel agreed that this project successfully completed the research work plan of current phase and achieved important progress, including: building simulated analysis platform for aircraft tires; developing new tracking method and new strain softening research method of rapid deformation structure evolution of rubber nanocomposite; revealing main mechanism of interface degradation caused by dynamic friction under extreme conditions; developing mixed dispersion processing technology of highly filled nano particles, developing special processing and manufacturing process; and completing trial production of the first batch of samples of aircraft radial tires in Shandong Linglong Tire Company, and relevant performance evaluation work will be gradually carried out subsequently.
In 2020, each subject undertaking unit will continue to center on the given target, further focus on the research content, highlight the work emphasis and accelerate the achievement transformation to support internationally leading radial tire for giant aircraft to realize engineering application in Linglong Tire as soon as possible.
