On May 16, the new SBR1566 brand product of high-strength styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) independently developed by Jilin Petrochemical Company successfully completed the 500-ton scheduling task, and the main index of the product, the tensile strength, reached 30MPa or more.

As a major producer of domestic emulsion polymerized styrene butadiene rubber (ESBR), Jilin Petrochemical has been producing universal brand products for a long time. With the increasingly fierce competition of universal brand products, the special materials market is welcoming a broad prospect. Jilin Petrochemical Research Institute has carried out a small-scale trial of “high-strength SBR special materials” in a timely manner, and mastered a large number of key technologies, such as the combination of styrene content control technology, Mooney control technology, polymerization rate, endpoint conversion rate control, etc. The project successfully carried out industrialization tests last year, and the products were recognized and praised by downstream conveyor belt manufacturing enterprises.
