Jiangsu General Science Technology Co., Ltd. (GS) officially announced on November 8 that the project implementation subject of its new factory, namely General Rubber (Thailand) Co., Ltd., had been registered in Thailand.

According to GS, this factory, with total estimated investment of no more than USD 300 Million Yuan, will newly increase the annual production of 1 million all-steel radial tires and 6 million semi-steel radial tires after completion. The production load of the Thailand factory is planned to achieve 100% in the third year of production. As the major products of GS are all-steel radial tires, the proposed high-performance all-steel radial tire project will provide strong support for them to find inroad into the high-end market. Besides, the company will also vigorously promote the semi-steel radial tire project, including high-performance SUV tire and new energy tire with low rolling resistance and low noise, which is conducive to the optimization of product structure and also enhancement of its comprehensive competitiveness at the same time.
