Commissioned by Department of Science and Technology of Jiangsu Province, Wuxi Bureau of Science and Technology presided an acceptance check meeting for the special fund project of science and technology achievement transformation in Juangsu Province “R&D and Industrialization of Halogen-free Flame Retardant Rubber Nanocomposite Applied to Laminated Antiflaming Conveyer Belts for Mining” undertook by Wuxi Boton Technology Co., Ltd. on November 27, 2017.
To solve the key technical problem of conveyer belt for mining industry, Wuxi Boton developed nanometer material compounded technology and material laminated processing technology in this project and was the first who produced the high-performance halogen-free fame retardant rubber composite base covering adhesive in China, by which they successfully developed laminated antiflaming conveyer belts for mining as well series products featuring low toxicity and smoke free, high strength, high security and long service life.
According to tests from Institute of Transmission and Automation Technology, University of Hanover (Germany) and New Materials and Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Petroleum and Chemical Industry, the main technical parameters of the target products met contract requirements. During the project implementation period, Wuxi Boton applied for 7 Chinese patents (including 6 patents for invention), among which 7 were granted, presided or participated in revising 2 items of national standard and 5 items of industrial standard as well as setting 1 item of enterprise standard, completed the construction of a new R&D center with an area of 13,000 m2 and formed an annual production capacity of 5.5 million m2 of laminated antiflaming conveyer belts for coal mine.
