Actively carrying out the national strat- egy “Belt and Road”, the rubber companies in China received close attention from the national leaders. On November 12, 2017 during his visit to Vietnam, Xi Jinping, Gen- eral Secretary of the Communist Party of China and President of China, along with Nguyễn Phú Trọng, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, attend- ed in Hanoi the signing ceremony of the all-steel radial tire project with an annual output of 1.2 million units invested and built by Guizhou Tyre Co., Ltd. in Vietnam; on June 2 during EU-China Business Summit, Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council, together with Michel, Prime Minister of Bel- gium, witnessed in Brussels the signing cer- emony of strategic cooperation in R&D and application of tire steel cord thread frame- work materials between Zhongce Rubber Group and Bekaert Company of the Nether- lands. The confidence of rubber companies in China to carry out the national strategy “Belt and Road” was greatly strengthened with President Xi and Premier Li attending the signing ceremonies of the two projects.
