The rubber desulphurizing machine researched and developed by Zhejiang Rubber & Plastic Technology Co., Ltd. passed the experts’ assessment organized by China Rubber Industry Association Waster Rubber Comprehensive Utilization Branch on August 8.

Experts believed that this kind of rubber desulphurizing machine conveys quantitative rubber power through controlling the spiral by variable frequency motor and breaks the molecular chain of vulcanized rubber by force of machine shear so as to complete the desulfuration and save 40% energy compared with the traditional technique. During the process of desulfuration, as there is no addition of auxiliary chemicals, the traditional chemical desulfurization is replaced by physical desulfurization, which, as a result, reduces more than 30% of the emission of VOCs compared with traditional technique. This machine belongs to a continuing production device with high level of automation, which reduces the labor intensity and replaces 50% of the operating personnel compared with the traditional one. Moreover, this machine is an innovative technology in China, filling a domestic gap in this field and achieving domestic leading level.

It is said that granule regenerated rubber produced by the rubber desulphurizing machine will be transported to the extruder by spiral conveyer and become rubber compound. During this period, a little rubber chemicals will be added through automatic weighing (no necessary to use milling machine and refiner). Then the regenerative mixing rubber will go through compression moulding forming and vulcanization by hydraulic curing press and then is available for manufacturing all kinds of rubber products.
