Rare Earth Polybutadiene Rubber Products of Zhejiang Transfer Got off Assembly Line
Date:2017/07/07    Author: -    From: China Rubber Journal

The first piece of rare earth polybutadiene rubber from Zhejiang Transfer Synthetic Materials Co., Ltd. successfully got off the assembly line on March 28, which indicated that the development of complete process technology for rare earth polybutadiene rubber over nearly two years became a success.

Transfer Synthetic Materials took more than one year to build the R&D center and polybutadiene rubber pilot plant and develop the “second-generation” rare earth catalytic system as well as the relevant aging and polymerization techniques by cooperating with scientific research institutions, such as Zhejiang University. After nearly one year of pilot plant test verification and production plant practice, the catalyst activity has been increased 5 times than that of currently prevailing First Generation system and the resulting rare earth polybutadiene rubber has narrower molecular weight distribution in catalyst than that of the First Generation and better mechanical property, the technology of which reaches international advanced level.

The outstanding rubber performance and structure of the rare earth polybutadiene rubber is fully demonstrated during the application, featuring with higher tensile strength, lower hysteresis loss and fatigue heat, excellent flex resistance, better wet skid resistance as well as low rolling resistance. These features are required for promoting such properties of tires as high-speed, endurance and energy saving and also essential for the production of green tires.
