On April 28, the project of Chengshan Group Co., Ltd. to build a tire manufacturing base in Malaysia by joint venture was filed on record in Shandong Development and Reform Commission. This was another important procedure after the approval by Department of Commerce of Shandong Province.

According to the approval document, Chengshan Group Co., Ltd. will build a tire manufacturing base in Malaysia with an annual output of 1.2 million all-steel radial tires and 4 million semi-steel radial tires. The manufacturing plants and ancillary facilities to be built cover an area of 242,000 m2. The manufacturing facilities and testing equipment to be purchased are 293 sets.
