Lately, Shandong Economic and Information Technology Committee released the list for the first batch of technological innovative project plan in 2017, among which five projects of Himile Mechanical Science and Technology (Shandong) Co., Ltd. were shortlisted, ranking the first in terms of the number of projects among all companies in the rubber industry; RMB 37.8 Million Yuan was invested as R&D expenses, ranking the second.

The five projects are respectively: research on green and lightweight design of segmented molds for engineering tires, research on energy-conserving and lightweight pore-free tire molds, research on new non-pneumatic tire molds, R&D on electro-processed and intelligent manufacturing units of tire molds, and research on the nanocrystallization treatment of metal surface of tire molds.
