On March 28, the third-phase project of Continental Tire Hefei Factory with an investment of 250 Million Euro was formally put into production. By then, the total investment of Continental Group in Heifei Factory had reached 570 Million Euro.

After all three phases of the project reach the target output, the annual passenger tire output of this base will increase to about 14 million by 2019, and the number of employees will increase to 2,700 from 1,400 at present.

Since it was formally put into production in 2011, Continental Tire Hefei Factory has become a headquarters base that combines production base, China-region trade settlement center and China-region R&D testing center into one.
