Thailand Indorama Ventures Public Co., Ltd. announced on February 26 that its high performance fiber factory had been put into construction in Kaiping City, Guangdong Province.

The project is said to be capable of producing 18,000 tons of polyester industrial yarn per year and will make the company’s total capacity of polyester tire cord fabrics reach to 60,000 tons/year when the factory is built and put into operation at the beginning of 2018.

In 2015, Indorama Ventures completed the acquisition of Performance Fibers (Kaiping) Company Limited which was built in 1996 with advanced technology and equipment and specialized in producing polyester industrial filaments, gumming industrial canvas and tire fabrics.
