Guilin, China – Guilin Rubber Machinery will be supplying an “independently-designed and manufactured” OTR tire building machine to a “famous” tire company in southeast Asia, the machinery supplier has announced.
The product was jointly designed and developed by the company’s R&D and production & manufacturing departments, “with professional guidance from KraussMaffei,” Guilin added.
The drum-shaped band off-the-road (OTR) tire building machine was “successfully tested” on 6 March and will be Guilin’s first export of its tire-building machines.
Guilin said its vulcanising machines have “long been sold” to other parts of the world while its OTR building machines have been used by “many domestic tire companies.”
The new product is 24 metres long, 13 metres wide and 4 metres tall. It’s jointly designed and developed by the company’s R&D department and the production & manufacturing department, with professional guidance from KraussMaffei.
The machine is “highly automated, capable of producing the tube of slanting rubber OTR tires with the diameter of 24-29 inches within 10 minutes.”
