Guilin, China – ChemChina-owned Guilin Rubber Machinery has stepped up efforts in technical research and development and worked with KraussMaffei to upgrade design and technology throughout 2016, the company announced on 14 Feb.
In 2016, said the statement, the company was granted 21 patents including five patents for invention, and applied for 10 patents for utility model. Additionally, Guilin Rubber Machinery completed seven new product R&D projects, eight technological projects and three electric projects throughout the year.
According to the report, senior manufacturing experts from ChemChina-owned KraussMaffei visited the company to “conduct intensive benchmarking studies on processing, welding and assembling.”
The experts, said Guilin Rubber Machinery, put forward 55 suggestions on improvement and optimisation in the aspects including processing technology, machining tool, work fixture and welding process.
“Now, relevant improvement projects are in progress and have been proved effective in the Apollo project in India,” the machinery supplier added.
Guilin Rubber Machinery announced a €22 million deal with an India customer in April 2016.
