On December 15, 2016, Arlanxeo Rubber Technology Center (RTC) was officially completed in the EPDM manufacturing base in Changzhou. As one of the global rubber testing center of the Company, RTC can test and mix multiple rubber products and is equipped with advanced comprehensive analyzing and testing capability at present, which makes it able to serve clients in a better way.

RTC starts from LANXESS Rubber Research Center in Qingdao which was built in 2008. It was originally a chemical and analyzing laboratory, and later it was merged with Arlanxeo Asia Pacific Technology Center in Shanghai. During the process of its development, it has been increasingly richer in functions and adding cutting-edge equipment, eventually developing into a new rubber technology center in the EPDM base in Changzhou as well as a supplier of comprehensive services and solutions which will possibly become a platform for technology communication in the future.

The new RTC, used for conducting mixture, rheological property, physical property, wet-type and analysis testing activities, is comprised of five laboratories that have distinct functions and is in the charge of one rubber mixing team and one rubber testing team.

It is known that the three manufacturing bases with leading technologies subordinated to Arlanxeo are all in the Asian-Pacific region, i.e. the EPDM plant in China and the butyl rubber and neodymium butadiene rubber plant in Singapore.
