On December 8, the Department of High-tech Development and Industrialization of the Ministry of Science and Technology convened the project check and acceptance meeting for “the 12th Five-Year Plan” National Sci-Tech Support Plan—Integrated Application Demonstration of Green Production Techniques in the Chemical Industry (No.: 2013BAF08B00). The check and acceptance expert team heard debriefing on project execution and reviewed relevant materials. After query and discussion, they unanimously agreed that the products of one of the seven projects of the Support Plan undertaken by Linglong Tire, the project of “Application Technology of Aramid Fiber in High Performance Radial Tires”, reached Level B of EU Label Law, and the project passed the check and acceptance upon consistent agreement.

In this project, Linglong Tire develops the structure design technology for aramid fiber truck radial tire products. The mass of representative specifications of products drops by 13.2%. According to the inspection by EU Label Law, the rolling resistance coefficient reaches Level B, dropping by 17% compared with ordinary radial tires of the original size, the fuel consumption of automobile dropped by 3.1%, the wet skid resistance reached Level B, and the noise reached Level Two; the embedded electron beam pre-curing equipment used for the passenger car radial tire developed by Linglong Tire has been applied in the current textile cord pressing production line, filling a domestic gap; the electron pre-curing technology successfully applied in the pre-curing of radial tire cord of passenger cars has obtained improvement in the precision of cord thread arrangement, the weight of tire products decreased, the high speed performance of products of 225/40R18 representative specification reached 300km/h, and the endurance performance reached the level of 160h. Currently, ten domestic and foreign patents have been applied for the project.
