The picture shows the suction and rollover of tread
Lately, the tread electric servo automatic picking device developed by Guilin Zhonghao Lichuang Electromechanical Equipment Co., Ltd. passed the identification of Industry and Information Technology Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and was successfully applied in Double Coin (Chongqing) Tyre Co., Ltd., reaching the leading level at home in the aspect of tread picking automation.
The identification experts believe that its efficiency is high in that this device automatically picks tread and steadily puts it on louver vehicles, the tread loading conveyor belt is driven by servo motors, and the storage conveyor belt goes up and down simultaneously with the lifting device; the processes of louver vehicles are automatically finished by the control system from inputting to loading tread, mechanical hands’ turning over vanes of louver vehicles, taking out, etc.; the production line has high degree of automation and visibility, runs smoothly and is precisely located, easy to operate and convenient to maintain.
At the application site of Double Coin (Chongqing) Tyre Co., Ltd., the person in charge of the project said that the project had three major advantages:
First, automated picking. Once the operators have done choosing tread specifications on the control board, the system will automatically adjust the operating data of every link according to the pre-set parameter. Tread coming down from the production line will first go into the rollaway nest in the rollover area where it is firmly sucked by the built-in vacuum suction cup of the rollover device between rollers of the rollaway nest. Then after being rotated by 180°, it will be put on another conveyor rollaway nest. When a group of tread is all set in place with three (of large size) or four (of small size) in a group, start the horizontal conveyor belt immediately to convey a group of tread onto the wide-banded conveyor belt which will convey the tread group to the loading assembly. After that, the lifting device will automatically go up till it reaches the height of louver vehicle vanes when the belt pulley moves forward and puts treads onto the louver vehicle vane one by one through belt drive. After they are put in place, the belt pulley will automatically go backward. At that moment, a kind of device similar to a mechanical arm will automatically turn the louver vehicle vane over to the next layer, waiting for the next group of tread to put in place. Such cycles will keep going on till all vanes are filled with tread. The louver vehicle will automatically leave the loading position along the exit before the next louver vehicle automatically goes to the loading position. No staff operation is needed during the whole process, which means the automatic tread picking and placing is fully achieved.
Second, economized staff. Before carrying out the project of tread automation, two workers were needed to stand at the picking place to ceaselessly lift tread onto the louver vehicle and roll over the vanes. The work would be even harder for the operator when the louver vehicle reaching a certain level. After achieving automatic tread picking, operators can be relieved from strenuous and dull labor work, reducing eight picking workers for the work zone.
Third, guarantee on tread quality. Manual picking can easily lead to problems including horizontal and longitudinal stretch and deformation. In contrast, by adsorption and rollover of the vacuum suction cup and automatic placement of belt pulley, the automatic tread picking makes it possible to “take and put lightly” tread, avoiding potential quality problems during the tread picking process, thus effectively guaranteeing product quality.
