Date:2017/02/24    Author: -    From: China Rubber Journal

Since September, the NR price turned to rising in a fluctuated way and kept rebounding until the end of the year. Up to December 12, the spot price of NR was nearly RMB 20,000 Yuan/ ton, hitting a new height during the past 3 years. At the end of November, the NR price rose by 61.71% on year-on-year basis. The reasons are listed as follows: Firstly, the production and sale of Chinese auto increased substantially on year-on-year basis since August, driving the rate of operation of tires to become high and increasing the demand for NR to some extent; secondly, the supply of NR in Southeast Asian regions decreased at the end of the year and goods in stock became tighter; thirdly, the inventory of the domestic bonded warehouses and Shanghai Futures Exchange decreased; fourthly, the international crude oil price kept increasing and the SR price also rose, forming a support for the NR price. Affected by the above factors, some tire enterprises increased the price of tires by 2% ~ 6% one after another near the end of the year.
