On November 1, a cornerstone-laying ceremony was held for the new rubber hose factory of ContiTech located at Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark. The first stage of the project was launched completely. With a total investment of over EUR 20 Million and floor space of 15,000 m² , the project is estimated to produce about 15 Million low-pressure rubber hose per year after its completion and commissioning. According to the project plan, the company is expected to complete all of the construction projects before 2020.

Qingdao Rubber Hose Factory is the fourth factory of ContiTech in China for manufacturing fluid products for vehicles use.
