Industrial Statistics of CRIA in the First Three Quarters Released

In the first three quarters of 2016, the key economic operation indicators of rubber industry changed for the better. The industrial output value at current price and sales revenue achieved positive growth while the export delivery value declined on a year-on-year basis with smaller amplitude over a year earlier. 

 

Overall Condition of Economic Operation of Rubber Industry

According to the statistics of China Rubber Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as CRIA) on 407 key member enterprises in 11 branches (specialized committees) respectively engaged in tires, cycle tires, rubber hoses & rubber belts, rubber products, rubber shoes, latexes, carbon black, comprehensive utilization of waste rubber, rubber machinery moulds, rubber chemicals and framework materials, in the first three quarters of 2016, the realized industrial output value at current price was 229.035 Billion Yuan, increasing by 0.98% on a year-on-year basis (same below); the realized sales revenue was 212.746 Billion Yuan, increasing by 1.14%; the realized export delivery value was 62.37 Billion Yuan, decreasing by 3.00%; and the export rate (value) was 27.33%, decreasing by 1.12%. There were 55 enterprises with deficits, increasing by 7.84%; the deficit amount was 868 Million Yuan, decreasing by 2.40%; and the manufactured inventory amount was 24.834 Billion Yuan, decreasing by 10.14%. Analysis on Main Features of Economic Operation

Small increase on industrial output value at current price

In the first three quarters of 2016, the industrial output value at currency price of rubber industry increased by 0.98%, a raise of 11.97% over a year earlier and 3.88% over the first half year. Among the specific industries of statistics, four industries, rubber products, rubber machinery moulds, rubber chemicals and framework materials achieved positive growth. Rubber chemicals industry had a larger increase over a year earlier while the decrease of other five specific industries like tires, cycle tires, rubber hoses & rubber belts, carbon black and comprehensive utilization of waste rubber narrowed down from a year earlier. Four industries, including rubber products, rubber machinery moulds, rubber chemicals and framework materials had a larger increase over the first half year while the decrease of other five specific industries like tires, rubber hoses & rubber belts, latexes, carbon black and comprehensive utilization of waste rubber narrowed down from the first half year. Small increase on sales revenue

In the first three quarters of 2016, the sales revenue of the industry increased by 1.14%, a raise of 9.82% for the decreasing range over a year earlier and 3.31% over the first half year. Among the specific industries of statistics, the sales revenue of five specific industries like tires, rubber products, rubber machinery moulds, rubber chemicals and framework materials achieved positive growth. Two specific industries like tires and rubber chemicals had a larger increase over a year earlier while the decrease of other five specific industries like cycle tires, rubber hoses & rubber belts, latexes, carbon black and comprehensive utilization of waste rubber narrowed down from a year earlier. Five specific industries like tires, rubber products, rubber machinery moulds, rubber chemicals and framework materials had a larger increase over the first half year while the decrease of other four specific industries like rubber hoses & rubber belts, latexes, carbon black and comprehensive utilization of waste rubber narrowed down from the first half year. Small decrease on export delivery value on a year-on-year basis

In the first three quarters of 2016, the export delivery value of the industry increased by 3.00%, a decrease of 8.83% for the decreasing range over a year earlier and 0.60% over the first half year. The export rate (value) was 27.23%, decreasing by 1.12%. Among the specific industries of statistics, the export delivery value of eight specific industries like cycle tires, rubber hoses & rubber belts, rubber products, rubber shoes, latexes, rubber machinery moulds, rubber chemicals and framework materials achieved positive growth. Five specific industries like cycle tires, rubber hoses & rubber belts, latexes, rubber machinery moulds and rubber chemicals had a larger increase over a year earlier while the decrease of other two specific industries like tires and carbon black narrowed down from a year earlier. Four specific industries like rubber hoses & rubber belts, rubber products, latexes and rubber chemicals had a larger increase over the first half year while the decrease of other two specific industries like carbon black and comprehensive utilization of waste rubber narrowed down from the first half year. The export rate (value) of five specific industries like cycle tires, rubber hoses & rubber belts, rubber shoes, latexes and rubber machinery moulds increased slightly over the same period last year. Specific Industries

Tires

In the first three quarters of 2016, 41 key member enterprises achieved a 1.83% decrease in industrial output values at current price and a 0.05% increase in sales revenue, in which the sales revenue of radial tires increased by 0.78%. The output of integrative casing increased by 5.58%, in which the output of radial tire increased by 6.99% and that of all-steel radial tire increased by 4.69%. The radial rate was 91.20%, increasing by 1.20%. The realized export delivery value decreased by 7.99% and the export rate (value) decreased by 2.12% to 31.60%. The export tire delivery volume decreased by 1.72% and the export rate (volume) decreased by 3.19% to 42.90%. 7 of total 38 enterprises had deficits. The manufactured inventory decreased by 14.08%.

Cycle Tires

In the first three quarters of 2016, 36 key member enterprises achieved a 4.32% decrease in industrial output values at current price and a 6.49% decrease in sales revenue. Among the leading products, the output of motor casing increased by 0.71%; the output of cycle casing decreased by 7.40%; and the output of electric bicycle casing decreased by 17.14%. The realized export tire delivery value increased by 5.92% and the export rate (volume) increased by 2.77% to 28.60%. 2 enterprises had deficits. The manufactured inventory decreased by 16.19%.

Rubber hoses & rubber belts

In the first three quarters of 2016, 54 key member enterprises achieved a 3.96% decrease in total industrial output values at current price and a 5.91% decrease in sales revenue. Among main products, the output of conveyer belts decreased by 7.07%; the output of V-belts decreased by 21.89%; and the output of rubber hoses increased by 0.42%. The realized export tire delivery value increased by 0.74% and the export rate (volume) increased by 0.58% to 12.34%. 8 enterprises had deficits. The manufactured inventory decreased by 2.76%.

Rubber Products

In the first three quarters of 2016, 51 key member enterprises achieved a 15.83% increase in total industrial output values at current price and a 6.52% increase in sales revenue. Among main products, the output of automobile anti-vibration products increased by 17.05% and the output of O-type seal rings increased by 2.58%. The realized export tire delivery value increased by 15.65% and the export rate (volume) decreased by 0.04% to 23.89%. The auto parts export increased by 17.00%. 10 enterprises had deficits. The manufactured inventory increased by 0.12%.

Rubber Shoes

In the first three quarters of 2016, 26 key member enterprises achieved a 7.64% decrease in industrial output values at current price and a 3.43% decrease in sales revenue. The realized output of rubber shoes decreased by 7.89%. The realized export delivery value increased by 8.36% and the export rate (volume) increased by 1.38% to 12.71%. The rubber shoes export increased by 25.11% and the export rate (volume) increased by 2.99% to 11.34%. 5 enterprises had deficits. The manufactured inventory decreased by 7.62%.

Latexes

In the first three quarters of 2016, 28 key member enterprises achieved a 4.33% decrease in industrial output values at current price and a 1.15% decrease in sales revenue. Among main products, the output of condom decreased by 6.48%; the output of medical gloves decreased by 1.73%; and the output of latex examination gloves decreased by 11.60%. The realized export delivery value increased by 3.34% and the export rate (volume) increased by 3.23% to 43.52%. 6 enterprises had deficits. The manufactured inventory decreased by 5.81%.

Carbon Black

In the first three quarters of 2016, 36 key member enterprises achieved a 9.20% decrease in industrial output values at current price and a 6.35% decrease in sales revenue. The total output of carbon black increased by 3.93%, in which the output of wet-process carbon black increased by 5.42%. The realized export delivery value decreased by 19.55% and the export rate (volume) decreased by 1.82% to 14.10%. The carbon black export decreased by 6.28% and the export rate (volume) decreased by 1.49% to 13.72%. 11 enterprises had deficits. The manufactured inventory decreased by 2.42%.

Rubber Machinery Moulds

In the first three quarters of 2016, 26 key member enterprises achieved a 1.89% increase in industrial output values at current price and a 1.46% increase in sales revenue. The output of moulds increased by 1.31%. The realized export delivery value increased by 26.06% and the export rate (volume) increased by 5.58% to 28.61%. The manufactured inventory decreased by 15.50%.

Comprehensive Utilization of Waste Rubber

In the first three quarters of 2016, 30 key member enterprises achieved a 3.10% decrease in industrial output values at current price and a 1.19% decrease in sales revenue. The production of reclaimed rubber increased by 10.43% and the production of rubber power increased by 1.40%. The realized export delivery value decreased by 20.24% and the export rate (volume) decreased by 0.64% to 2.99%. 2 enterprises had deficits. The manufactured inventory decreased by 3.06%.

Rubber Chemicals

In the first three quarters of 2016, 47 key member enterprises achieved a 19.50% increase in industrial output values at current price and a 18.56% increase in sales revenue. The total output of rubber chemicals increased by 19.37%. Among main products, the output of accelerant increased by 19.97% and the output of antioxidants increased by 9.70%. The realized export delivery value increased by 6.16% and the export rate (volume) increased by 3.64% to 31.11%. The rubber chemicals export increased by 15.68% and the export rate (volume) decreased by 0.91% to 28.63%.

Framework Materials

In the first three quarters of 2016, 18 of 32 enterprises in the statistics achieved a 8.01% increase in industrial output values at current price and a 11.32% increase in sales revenue. The realized export delivery value increased by 6.42% and the export rate (volume) decreased by 1.59% to 34.67%. 4 enterprises had deficits. The manufactured inventory decreased by 10.97%.

In the first three quarters of 2016, 32 enterprises in the statistics achieved a 8.33% increase in total output of framework materials, in which the output of fiber cord fabrics increased by 7.67%; the output of steel cords increased by 9.73%; and the output of bead wires increased by 6.89%.
