Overall Condition of Economic Operation of Rubber Industry
According to the statistics of China Rubber Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as CRIA) on 413 key member enterprises under 11 branches (specialized committees) respectively engaged in tires, cycle tires, rubber hoses & rubber belts, rubber products, rubber shoes, latexes, carbon black, comprehensive utilization of waste rubber, rubber machinery moulds, rubber chemicals and framework materials, in the first quarter of 2016, the realized industrial output value at current price was 66.057 Billion Yuan with a decrease (year-on-year, the same below) of 5.27%; the realized sales revenue was 64.035 Billion Yuan with a decrease of 3.13%; the realized export delivery value was 18.220 Billion Yuan with a decrease of 7.55%; and the export rate (value) was 27.58% with a decrease of 0.68%. Among the 336 key enterprises (excluding those engaged in rubber chemicals and framework materials), the realized profit and tax increased by 4.40%; the realized profit increased by 2.58%; the profit rate of sales revenue increased by 0.37%; there were 71 enterprises with deficits, increased by 7.58%; the deficit amount of enterprises with deficits decreased by 5.97%; and the manufactured inventory amount decreased by 24.74%. Main Features and Analysis of Economic Operation
Output value at current price had a year-on- year decrease and the decrease narrowed
In the first quarter of 2016, the industrial output value at current price of rubber industry had a year- on-year decrease of 5.27%, which narrowed by 4.89% compared with that in the same period of last year and by 6.31% compared with that of 2015. Among specific industries, the industrial output value at current price of two industries, rubber products and rubber chemicals, realized positive growth; the year-on-year decrease of four industries, tires, cycle tires, rubber hoses & rubber belts and comprehensive utilization of waste rubber, narrowed compared with that in the same period of last year; and the year-on-year increase of two industries, rubber products and rubber chemicals, enlarged compared with that in the same period of last year. Sales revenue had a year-on-year decrease and the decrease narrowed
In the first quarter of 2016, the sales revenue of the industry declined by 3.13%, which narrowed by 4.75% compared with that in the same period of last year and by 6.97% compared with that of 2015. Among specific industries, the sales revenue of two industries, rubber products and rubber chemicals, realized positive growth; the year-on-year decrease of five industries, tires, cycle tires, rubber hoses & rubber belts, carbon black and comprehensive utilization of waste rubber, narrowed compared with that in the same period of last year; and the year-on-year increase of two industries, rubber products and rubber chemicals, enlarged compared with that in the same period of last year. Export volume and value of tires departed from each other
In the first quarter of 2016, the export delivery value of the industry declined by 7.55%, which narrowed by 4.28% compared with that in the same period of last year and by 4.55% compared with that of 2015. The export rate (value) was 27.58%, with a year-on-year decrease of 0.68%.
Thereinto, the export delivery value of tires declined by 11.25% (the decrease narrowed compared with that in the same period of last year) while the export delivery volume of tires increased by 5.99%, thus the value and volume departed from each other. Among the specific industries, the export delivery value of four industries, cycle tires, rubber products, rubber shoes and rubber machinery moulds, realized positive growth and the year-on-year increase of two industries, cycle tires and rubber shoes, enlarged compared with that in the same period of last year. Conditions of Specific Industries
Tires
In the first quarter of 2016, for 42 key member enterprises, the realized industrial output value at current price decreased by 7.42% and the realized sales revenue decreased by 4.73%, in which the sales revenue of radial tires decreased by 4.64%. The output of integrative casing increased by 4.33%, in which the output of radial tires increased by 6.28% and the output of all-steel radial tires increased by 1.67%. The radial rate was 91.76% with a growth of 1.68%. The realized export delivery value decreased by 11.25%, and the export rate (value) was 31.19%, with a decrease of 1.35% . The export tire delivery volume increased by 5.99%, in which that of export radial tires increased by 6.63%; and the export rate (volume) was 42.80%, with an increase of 0.67%. Cycle Tires
In the first quarter of 2016, for 36 key enterprises, the realized industrial output value at current price decreased by 1.38% and the realized sales revenue decreased by 5.64%. Among the leading products, the output of motorcycle casing increased by 3.86%; and the output of bicycle casing decreased by 6.94%, in which the output of electric bicycle casing decreased by 12.26%. The realized export delivery value increased by 6.36%, and the export rate (value) reached 31.44% with an increase of 2.29%. Rubber Hoses & Rubber Belts
In the first quarter of 2016, for 55 key enterprises, the realized gross industrial output value at current price decreased by 8.07%, and the realized sales revenue decreased by 10.67%. Among the leading products, the output of conveyor belt decreased by 8.89%, the output of V belt decreased by 7.81%, and the output of rubber hose increased by 8.52%. The realized export delivery value decreased by 18.55%, and the export rate (value) reached 10.43% with a decrease of 1.34%. Rubber Products
In the first quarter of 2016, for 52 key enterprises, the realized gross industrial output value at current price increased by 7.60%, and the realized sales revenue increased by 10.55%. Among the leading products, the output of automobile anti-vibration articles increased by 13.77% and the output of “O” rings increased by 5.83%. The realized export delivery value increased by 13.42%; the export rate (value) reached 25.49% with an increase of 1.31%. Rubber Shoes
In the first quarter of 2016, for 28 key enterprises, the realized industrial output value at current price decreased by 13.40%, the realized sales revenue decreased by 2.74%. The realized rubber shoes output decreased by 8.64%. The realized export delivery value increased by 19.88%; the export rate (value) was 12.62% with an increase of 2.38%. The export of rubber shoes increased by 29.15%; the export rate (volume) reached 11.97% with an increase of 3.50%. Latexes
In the first quarter of 2016, for 29 key enterprises, the realized industrial output value at current price decreased by 15.98%, and the realized sales revenue decreased by 16.74%. Among the leading products, the condom output decreased by 31.86%; the medical gloves output increased by 23.98%; and the examination gloves output decreased by 12.40%. The realized export delivery value decreased by 22.77%; the export rate (value) reached 36.39% with a decrease of 3.20%. Carbon Black
In the first quarter of 2016, for 36 key enterprises, the realized industrial output value at current price decreased by 19.13%, and the realized sales revenue decreased by 14.61%. The total output of carbon black increased by 2.38%, in which the output of wet process carbon black increased by 3.74%. The realized export delivery value decreased by 38.06%; the export rate (value) was 14.39% with a decrease of 4.40%. The export of carbon black decreased by 9.55%, the export rate (volume) reached 15.13% with a decrease of 2.0%. Rubber Machinery Moulds
In the first quarter of 2016, for 26 key enterprises, the realized industrial output value at current price decreased by 1.03%, and the realized sales revenue decreased by 1.62%. The realized output of mould decreased by 2.69%. The realized export delivery value increased by 21.29%; the export rate (value) reached 30.05% with an increase of 5.68%. Comprehensive Utilization of Waste Rubber
In the first quarter of 2016, for 32 key enterprises, the realized industrial output value at current price decreased by 7.86%, and the realized sales revenue decreased by 11.87%. The reclaimed rubber output decreased by 3.54% and the rubber powder output decreased by 16.55%. The realized export delivery value decreased by 15.45%; and the export rate (value) reached 3.15% with a decrease of 0.28%. Rubber Chemicals
In the first quarter of 2016, for 47 key enterprises, the realized industrial output value at current price increased by 8.45% and the realized sales revenue increased by 8.33%. The gross output of rubber chemicals increased by 16.19%, among the leading products, the accelerating agent output increased by 17.60%, and the anti-deteriorant output increased by 14.80%. The realized export delivery value increased by 1.74%, and the export rate (value) reached 32.20%, which decreased by 2.08%. The export of rubber chemicals increased by 17.46%, the export rate (volume) reached 30.13%, which increased by 0.33%. Framework Materials
In the first quarter of 2016, for 30 key enterprises, the total output of framework materials increased by 11.83%, in which the output of fiber cord fabrics increased by 9.49%; the output of steel cord increased by 7.93% and the output of bead wire increased by 25.66%.
