Overall Condition

According to the statistics of China Rubber Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as CRIA) on 414 key member enterprises under 11 branches (specialized committees) respectively engaged in tires, cycle tires, rubber hoses & rubber belts, rubber products, rubber shoes, latexes, carbon black, comprehensive utilization of waste rubber, rubber machinery moulds, rubber chemicals and framework materials, in 2015, the realized industrial output value at current price was 281.464 Billion Yuan with the year-on-year (the same below) decrease of 11.58%; the realized sales revenue was 262.106 Billion Yuan with the decrease of 11.30%; and the realized export delivery value was 81.569 Billion Yuan with the decrease of 12.10%; the export rate (value) was 28.98%, decreased by 0.17% compared with that of last year. Main Features of Economic Operation

Output value at current price had a sharp decline

In 2015, the industrial output value at current price of rubber industry declined by 11.58%, decreased by 14.12% compared with that of last year. Among specific statistics industries, the industrial output value at current price of three specialized industries, rubber products, rubber shoes and rubber machinery moulds, realized a positive growth; the increase of all the specific statistics industries was slower than that of last year, in which the increase of five specialized industries, tires, cycle tires, rubber products, carbon black and rubber chemicals, had a decrease of over 10% compared with that of last year; and two specialized industries, tires and comprehensive utilization of waste rubber, had a negative growth for two consecutive years. Sales revenue had a sharp decline

In 2015, the sales revenue of the industry declined by 11.30%, decreased by 12.80% compared with that of last year. Among specific statistics industries, the sales revenue of two specialized industries, rubber products and rubber machinery moulds, realized a positive growth. The increase of all the specific statistics industries was slower than that of last year, in which the increase of four specialized industries, tires, rubber hoses & rubber belts, carbon black and rubber chemicals, had a decrease of over 10% compared with that of last year; and two specialized industries, tires and comprehensive utilization of waste rubber, had a negative growth for two consecutive years. Export delivery value had a negative growth

In 2015, the export delivery value of the industry declined by 12.10%, decreased by 19.50% compared with that of last year; the export rate (value) was 28.98%, slightly decreased by 0.17% compared with that of last year. Among the specific statistics industries, the export delivery value of three specialized industries, rubber products, rubber shoes and rubber machinery moulds, realized a positive growth. Among the specific statistics industries, the export growth of two specialized industries, rubber hoses & rubber belts and rubber shoes, was better than that of last year; five specialized industries, tires, rubber products, carbon black, rubber machinery moulds and comprehensive utilization of waste rubber, had a decrease of nearly or over 20% compared with that of last year; and three specialized industries, cycle tires, rubber hoses & rubber belts and latexes, had a negative growth for two consecutive years. Realized profit had a sharp decline

In 2015, the realized profit of the industry decreased by 16.99%, with the decrease of 17.08% compared with that of last year; the profit rate of sales revenue was 5.56%, decreased by 0.33% compared with that of last year. Among the specific statistics industries, the realized profit of three specialized industries, rubber products, latexes and comprehensive utilization of waste rubber, had a positive growth; and the specialized industry of carbon black had a deficit on the whole. Among the specific statistics industries, only the specialized industry of comprehensive utilization of waste rubber had a realized profit increase better than that of last year; the increase of six specialized industries, tires, rubber hoses & rubber belts, rubber products, rubber shoes, latexes and carbon black, had a decrease of over 10% compared with that of last year; and two specialized industries, tires and cycle tires, had a negative growth for two consecutive years. Output of rubber products like tires had a negative growth

The output of most rubber products had a negative growth, in which that of tires had a negative growth for the first time during the “12th Five-year”, and the increase of that of integrative casing had a decrease of 15.79% compared with that of last year; in addition, the output of the products such as latex products like cycle tires, automobile anti-vibration articles, condoms, etc., rubber powder, etc. had a decrease of over 10% compared with that of last year; and the output of rubber shoes had a negative growth for two consecutive years.    

Specific Industries

Tires

In 2015, for 42 key member enterprises, the realized industrial output value at current price was 172.016 Billion Yuan, decreased by 14.52% and the realized sales revenue decreased by 14.36%, in which the sales revenue of radial tires decreased by 13.53%; the output of integrative casing decreased by 5.75%; the output of radial tires decreased by 5.26%; the output of all-steel radial tires decreased by 6.71%; and the radial rate was 90.18% with the growth of 0.47% compared with that of last year. The realized export delivery value decreased by 15.92%, and the export rate (value) was 32.25%, with the decrease of 0.54% compared with that of last year. The export tire delivery volume decreased by 8.86%, in which that of export radial tires decreased by 8.02% and the export rate (volume) was 43.81%, with the decrease of 1.49% compared with that of last year.

Cycle Tires

In 2015, for 38 key member enterprises, the realized industrial output value at current price was 15.560 Billion Yuan, decreased by 9.48% and the realized sales revenue decreased by 7.26%. Among the leading products, the output of motorcycle casing decreased by 5.47%; the output of bicycle casing decreased by 9.52%, in which the output of electric bicycle casing decreased by 5.75%. The realized export delivery value decreased by 7.20%, and the export rate (value) reached 25.35% with the increase of 0.62% compared with that of last year.

Rubber Hoses & Rubber Belts

In 2015, for 52 key member enterprises, the realized gross industrial output value at current price was 18.925 Billion Yuan, decreased by 9.36%; and the realized sales revenue decreased by 7.92%. Among the leading products, the output of conveyor belt decreased by 7.72%, the output of V belt decreased by 3.09%, and the output of rubber hose increased by 0.53%. The realized export delivery value decreased by 6.32%, and the export rate (value) reached 12.18% with the increase of 0.39% compared with that of last year.

Rubber Products

In 2015, for 53 key member enterprises, the realized gross industrial output value at current price was 23.110 Billion Yuan, increased by 3.41%, and the realized sales revenue increased by 4.59%. Among the leading products, the output of automobile anti-vibration articles increased by 3.43% and the output of “O” rings decreased by 1.38%. The realized export delivery value increased by 11.73%; and the export rate (value) reached 33.97% with the increase of 2.53% compared with that of last year. The export of automobile spare parts increased by 14.52%.

Rubber Shoes

In 2015, for 28 key member enterprises, the realized industrial output value at current price was 5.083 Billion Yuan, increased by 0.96%, the realized sales revenue decreased by 0.34%, and the realized rubber shoes output decreased by 6.40%. The realized export delivery value increased by 18.06%; the export rate (value) was 10.78% with the increase of 1.68% compared with that of last year; the export of rubber shoes increased by 24.27%; the export rate (volume) reached 10.17% with the increase of 2.51% compared with that of last year.

Latexes

In 2015, for 29 key member enterprises, the realized industrial output value at current price was 3.237 Billion Yuan, decreased by 2.53%, and the realized sales revenue decreased by 1.96%. Among the leading products, the condom output decreased by 9.12%; the output of medical gloves decreased by 13.34%; and the output of examination gloves increased by 0.12%. The realized export delivery value decreased by 6.25%; the export rate (value) reached 39.97% with the decrease of 1.59% compared with that of last year.

Carbon Black

In 2015, for 37 key member enterprises, the realized industrial output value at current price was 17.335 Billion Yuan, decreased by 15.81%, and the realized sales revenue decreased by 18.10%. The gross carbon black output increased by 0.84%, in which the output of wet carbon black increased by 0.78%. The realized export delivery value decreased by 28.51%; the export rate (value) was 16.21% with the decrease of 2.88% compared with that of last year. The export of carbon black decreased by 15.79%, the export rate (volume) reached 15.29% with the decrease of 3.02% compared with that of last year.

Rubber Machinery Moulds

In 2015, for 26 key member enterprises, the realized industrial output value at current price was 4.282 Billion Yuan, increased by 0.67%; and the realized sales revenue increased by 0.61%. The realized output of moulds increased by 2.32%. The realized export delivery value increased by 20.44%; the export rate (value) reached 32.77% with the increase of 5.40% compared with that of last year.

Comprehensive Utilization of Waste Rubber

In 2015, for 33 key member enterprises, the realized industrial output value at current price was 4.428 Billion Yuan, decreased by 5.10%; and the realized sales revenue decreased by 15.91%. The output of reclaimed rubber increased by 3.29% and the output of rubber powder decreased by 14.36%. The realized export delivery value decreased by 29.42%; and the export rate (value) reached 3.22% with the decrease of 1.11% compared with that of last year.

Rubber Chemicals

In 2015, for 45 key member enterprises, the realized industrial output value at current price was 17.487 Billion Yuan, decreased by 6.99%; and the realized sales revenue decreased by 7.25%. The gross output of rubber chemicals increased by 2.02%, in which, the output of accelerating agent increased by 1.86%, and the output of the anti deteriorant increased by 6.23%. The realized export delivery value decreased by 2.46%, and the export rate (value) reached 33.81%, which increased by 1.66% compared with that of last year; the export of rubber chemicals increased by 0.72%, the export rate (volume) reached 28.89%, which decreased by 0.37% compared with that of last year.

Framework Materials

In 2015, for 31 key member enterprises, the total output of framework materials increased by 0.28%, in which the output of fiber cord fabrics decreased by 4.34%; the output of steel cord decreased by 4.20% and the output of bead wire increased by 21.77%.
