The 2015 National Science and Technology Awards Conference was held grandly at the Great Hall of the People on January 8. Two projects concerning rubber industry won awards in this conference.
With the recommendation of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, the “key technology for design and preparation of high-performance rubber nanocomposite used for fuel-efficient tires” completed jointly by Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Shandong Linglong Tyre Co., Ltd. and Aeolus Tyre Co., Ltd. won the Second Prize in 2015 National Awards for Technological Innovation. This technology brings a solution to the problems of nano-dispersion and interfacial chemical bonding for high nano-silica during the large-scale mixing in rubber, meets the high requirements of high fuel-efficient, high wet-skid resistance, high wear-resistant and anti-static function on the tread rubber, fills the domestic gaps and helps to push Chinese fuel-efficient and safe tire technology to a new height.
With the recommendation of Ministry of Transport, the project “key technology and engineering application of high-performance bituminous pavements built by waste tires” accomplished jointly by China Academy of Transportation Sciences, Beijing Municipal Road & Bridge Building Material Group Co., Ltd., Changsha University of Science & Technology, China Offshore Oil and Gas Development and Utilization Co., Ltd., China University of Petroleum (East China), Chongqing Jiaotong University and Guangxi Communications Invest- ment Group Co., Ltd. won the Second Prize in 2015 National Awards for Science and Technology Progress.
