Dunlop Taikoo Aircraft Tyres Co. (Jinjiang) Ltd. has appointed David Shen as general manager.
Shen joins the tire distribution and retreading facility, based in Fujian Province, China, from aircraft engineering company HAECO-Xiamen, where he had been senior manager of business improvement and lean development.
He has more than 17 years of technical experience within the aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul industry, according to Dunlop Taikoo.
“David brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help us build on our success in the Asia-Pacific region,” Ian Edmondson, chairman, Dunlop Aircraft Tyres, said in a statement.
Dunlop Taikoo (Jinjiang) Aircraft Tyres, which opened in November 2009, is a joint venture between Dunlop Aircraft Tyres, which is the majority shareholder; Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd.; and Taikoo Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. (TAECO).
It serves aircraft operators throughout Asia-Pacific and as well as airlines from countries including Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Philippines and Taiwan.
