Bridgestone relocated its Asia Pacific Technical Center (APTC) from Bangkok to a new facility in Thailand, reported Tyres & Accessories.
The move will help the company better develop products suited for the region’s needs, according to the tiremaker.
“In order to achieve Dan-Totsu in the Asia Pacific markets – which continue to grow and change rapidly – Bridgestone believes that APTC must strengthen its framework for research and development. This will allow Bridgestone to improve our products and business quality, and provide the best products for our diverse groups of customers,” said Hideki Komatsu, Bridgestone Corporation’s senior officer responsible for global innovation.
The APTC employs 90 people from different countries including India, Italy, Japan and Thailand.
