Lately, 2014 Science & Technology Award List for Petrochemical System came out, in which the “TRS and TRD series high-performance green pattern commercial vehicle tire development project” of Triangle Tire Co., Ltd. won the Science & Technology Progress Award (third class).

By the end of the project, there were total 7 standards and 13 kinds of products completed development, which formed the development of product seriation. Among those, 4 tire standards of TRS01 and TRD01 series achieved the certification of American SmartWay in 2011 and became the first batch for tire enterprises in China who passed this certification. TSR 02 and TRD02 series achieved the requirements of European Union (EU) Labelling Act on July 1, 2012. Moreover, TRD02 met the certification requirements for rolling resistance and noise in the second stage (Year 2016) of new EU ECE117 Rules, breaking the EU market barrier and setting a precedent for China’s tire enterprises to realize the technical strength of low-carbon and high-performance green tire and to keep seizing the EU market.

TRS02 and TRD02 patterns are known to not only sell well gradually in EU market, but also hold a large market share in the domestic long-distance transportation market. The TRS02 pattern also leads a green revolution among the domestic passenger car market and manufacturers. For example, new green automobile enterprises such as Zhengzhou Yutong Bus, Jinhua Youngman Automobile-Manufacturing and Gold Dragon Bus have assembled their vehicles with local supporting equipment instead of those of foreign brands and TRS02 also provides green environmental protection tire for middle-and-long-haul bus series, which breaks the situation that foreign brands have the exclusive control of China’s middle-and long-haul luxurious bus market.
