Lately, High and New Technology Research Center of Henan Academy of Sciences developed a new technology for producing the rubber vulcanization accelerator CBS (N-cyclohexyl-2-benzo thiazole sulfonamide) with the aqueous solution ultrasonic electrolysis method.
The technological process includes: put 2- mercapto benzothiazole or its sodium salt and cyclohexylamine (weight ratio: 1:1.2~5) separately into the electrolytic cell collected with saturation sodium chloride aqueous solution and ultrasonic vibrator or ultrasonic vibration rod; when stirring under the temperature of 5~15 ℃, switch on the DC power and power off after a period of electrolytic reaction; and the rubber vulcanization accelerator CBS is then produced after filtration, washing and drying. The product yield is above 96% and the current efficiency can reach up to 80% and above. This technique is simple in process and easy to industrialize. As there is no organic solvent used in the electrolytic process, the electrolyte can be recycled. Thus, the technique is clean and environment-friendly, reducing the environmental pollution and equipment corrosion.
