Recently, the environmental impact statement of Columbian Chemicals (Jining) Carbon Black Project of Columbian Chemicals (Jining) Co., Ltd. got the approval of Shandong Environmental Protection Bureau.
Located in Jining Jibei Hi-tech Industrial Park, this project covers an area of 15 hectares. The total investment of this project is 152.159 Million Dollar, among which the investment in environmental protection is 22.9807 Million Dollar. Oil furnace process is adopted to produce carbon black of 240000 tons per year; the construction includes 6 carbon black production lines, 3×55t/h supporting tail gas boiler, 2×10MW+1×15MW turbine-generator system and 2×5t/h+4×7t/h waste heat boiler as well as utility facilities and office & living facilities.
This project is constructed in two phases: in the first-phase project, three carbon black production lines as well as partial tail gas boiler, turbine-generator system, waste heat boiler, etc. will be constructed and will go into operation in October 2015 with the annual output of carbon black of 120000 tons; in the second-phase project, three carbon black production lines as well as partial tail gas boiler, turbine-generator system, waste heat boiler, etc. will be constructed and will go into operation in October 2017 with the annual output of carbon black of 120000 tons.
