China's synthetic rubber (SR) capacity reached 3.9 million metric tons in 2012, and production hit the 3.85 million market.

A new study compiled by market research firm Research and Markets Ltd. said 23 companies product SR in China, with Sinopec and China National Petroleum Corp. the leaders. Together those companies account for 59.5 percent of the nation's SR capacity, according to the report, which is available for purchase at the company's website.
