Beijing (May 31, 2012) – Aeolus Tyre is to switch to 100 percent clean (non-aromatic) oils to make tyres. The move applies to all Aeolus factories and tyres destined for all markets, including the domestic Chinese market. In a report in China Rubber, the company claims it will be the forst in China to be 100 percent converted to clean oils.

Since January 2010, it has been illegal to sell tyres in the EU which contain aromatic oils. The move follows this legislation and is a recognition that it is almost impossible to partially convert to clean oils only for specific markets such as the EU.
