China boosts exports of carbon black to U.S.

WASHINGTON (May 15, 2012) — Chinese exports of carbon black to the U.S. jumped to 22,344 metric tons in 2010 from 701 tons the previous year, according to a report from Notch Consulting.
The market forecaster, in information posted on its website, said China now is the second-largest supplier of carbon black to the U.S.
Canada remains the No. 1 supplier of the material to the U.S., with 101,731 tons in 2011, down from 111,713 in 2010, according to Notch. The company quoted International Trade Commission data.
