Michelin to invest $1 billion in China - report

Chinese rubber imports fall by a third in January - reports
Beijing – Chinese imports of synthetic rubber (including latex) in January 2012 was 100,758 tons, down 27.8 percent,; the value amounted to $ 357, million down 16.6 percent. Chinese rubber processors concerned at cost increases
Beijing – Manufacturing costs in China's rubber industry rose by around 30 percent in the first 10 months of 2011, due to raw material price increases. A report on the CRIA website said SBR costs increased by 48 percent; BR by 34 percent and NR by 28 percent.
